. Fujifilm X-Pro2, X-E2S, X70, XF 100-400mm: First Look The silver Fujifilm X-E2S Mirrorless Digital Camera features a 16.3 megapixel, APS-C, X-Trans CMOS II sensor and an EXR Processor II to provide high quality imagery and exceptional camera performance. The combination of the sensor and processor enables a native sensitivity range from ISO 200-6400, which is further expandable to ISO 100-51200. Fujifilm's proprietary X-Trans sensor uses a unique randomized pixel array in order to avoid the use of a resolution-reducing optical low-pass filter, therefore providing images with the utmost sharpness and clarity. This imaging system is benefitted by the Intelligent Hybrid AF system, which uses both contrast- and phase-detection methods to acquire focus quickly and accurately. Enhanced manual focusing capabilities are also a result of these technologies; Digital Split Image and Focus Highlight Peaking are two methods for quickly and precisely determining focus.
The EXR Processor II also delivers fast performance speeds to all aspects of the camera, ranging from quick startup and shutter lag times to a fast 7 fps continuous shooting rate. For image monitoring, review, and menu navigation, both a 2,360k-dot OLED electronic viewfinder and a 3.0' 1,040k-dot LCD screen are available. The body design extends this versatility through the implementation of manual, physical control dials on the top plate of the camera as well as seven different customizable buttons and a Q Menu button for expedited access to some of the most useful settings.
This control scheme further enables an intuitive, built-in Wi-Fi system for direct sharing of imagery for instant sharing online. Full HD 1080p movie recording in multiple frame rates is possible and a 2.5mm microphone input permits the use of an optional external microphone for improved audio quality with recordings. Full-time continuous focusing is supported while taking video, also, as well as the use of Film Simulation modes. Film Simulation modes make use of Fujifilm's history of producing both negative and slide films and allow you to apply those films' characteristics to your digital imagery to better suit your intended look. Rated 5 out of 5 by PacificaGal650 from Breathlessly Happy I absolutely LOVE my new X-E2S camera! I have the X-T1 and wanted a second camera that I could share the lenses with.
I love my X-T1 so I knew I wanted to stay with the Fujifilm line. I am so happy with the ease, right weight and options it offers that I have a feeling it will be my primary camera for a lot of my photography needs and the X-T1 may become my back-up. Options for special types of photos is great! I've only used the sunset setting so far, but I look forward to all this camera has to offer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Anonymous from The Forgotten X Camera Often overshadowed by its more famous siblings, the X-T and X-Pro cameras, I was glad that Fujifilm decided to push out an updated model in their X-E series. This is my second X-E body, having previously owned the X-E2. The new S version is basically an X-T1 in an X-E body. Notable improvements over its predecessor include improved autofocus, revamped menu selections, and tighter physical controls.
For example, the On/Off switch on my original X-E2 was constantly being knocked into the On position when the camera was placed back in or taken out of my camera bag. The new switch is now shorter in length and has a tighter tolerance to prevent that from happening. This was a prevalent problem among many owners and to their credit, Fujifilm listened to its customers and made the necessary change. In short, I really enjoy the rangefinder form factor and although I would like to own the X-Pro 2, I could not justify dropping another grand for it right now with my budget. My current lenses are the 14mm, 18mm, and 35mm, with the 18mm on the camera 80% of the time as it is my favorite street photography setup. Went to DP Review and compared several. I'm a professional architectural photographer and use the Canon 5Ds for my work.

But, the Fujifilm I carry everywhere. The optics are excellent. The file size is such that I make 16x24 prints that have no flaws.
They are incredibly sharp and are not pixelated in the least. In fact, the quality I get from the Fujifilm cameras is very nearly as good as my back up Canon 5D.
